DEEP Summer Academy 2018: Engineering Product Design and Development

This year I returned to DEEP for the 6th year with the courses "Engineering Product Design and Development", "Mission to Mars" and "Design, Build, Fly".
We started with Engineering Product Design and Development, where my students managed to develop their own product ideas along with a business model for them. On the way, we also learned about project management using Knex!
We also had experts from MADLAB at the University of Toronto and Airbus talk to us about 3-D printing and how to develop novel concepts into viable products.
Overall, the course was much well received, even more than the last time I did it in 2016. We ended with five products with the company OPA-OMA being the most sought after investment in our course!
